FSMUN 9.0

I participated in FSMUN 9.0 at Fountainhead School. I had never taken part in a MUN before, so I was unsure of how it operated. So I sought advice from a few of my pals and looked up its workings. My representative in the Indian Parliament was Gaurav Gogoi. He now serves as the Assam constituency’s representative in Parliament. India’s insurgencies were on the agenda. I thus did research on the Assamese insurgencies. I learned a lot from this event, including time management, effective communication, debating techniques, etc.

LO1: Identify your own strengths and develop areas for growth

I was able to identify my strengths and weaknesses thanks to this CAS experience. weaknesses in time management, argumentation abilities, etc. These are necessary for taking part in a MUN, but because this was my first time, I will make sure to remember to take care of them as well the next time. strengths include being able to comprehend parliamentary motion and coming up with arguments in opposition.

LO2: Undertaking New challenges

Becoming a part of the FSMUN was something new for me, but I struggled because I had no prior knowledge of Indian politics, which made it difficult for me to participate in conversations. Despite this, I am satisfied that I took part in the activity, and it has pushed me to join in such activities in the future.

LO4: Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience

I had to demonstrate my dedication and efforts towards this event if I wanted to give it significance and purpose. I did some study on the Assamese insurgencies and created notes that I would utilise in the debate. I also gained knowledge about the procedures and norms of the Lok Sabha.

LO5 – Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively

After being assigned the delegate I was intended to represent, I worked with my party members to understand my responsibilities. What role does my delegates have in the Party. In order to develop a sound discussion topic, my party members and I worked together as well.

LO6 – Engagement with issues of global significance

The “Rebellions in India” discussion brought to light the topic’s worldwide implications. Learning about this subject has helped me grow personally by enabling me to comprehend the difficulties India has recently endured. I am now better knowledgeable about the problems related to this subject as a result.
