I and the rest of my school band were offered to play at Nomads Restaurant and cafe. We grabbed the opportunity and played at the occasion. We were offered money in return of the performance and we took it in order to donate it to a food bank. We donated the food to a food bank and the food was distributed in people suffering from hunger.

Through this band, I learned how to work collaboratively in order to achieve results that I would not be able to achieve by performing alone. This helped me understand why working collaboratively is beneficial. If I would perform alone the effect wont be as great as the total effort put in would be less. In a band the total effort put out would increase which would create a greater impact.

LO6-Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance

Throughout the world, people suffer from hunger. And we took an step towards reducing the amount of suffering people face by donating the money we made through a gig into a food bank. The money was obtained through people who had more than enough money. This way we helped create balance in the economy by creating equity.

LO7-Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions

I recognized that the actions we take by donating some money to someone needy can seriously help them out by giving the basic living needs that they need to survive. This has helped me understand how my choices and actions can ethical impact the society.
